I'm doing something I've always dreamed of; building a custom built computer!

I've spent the last few weeks pricing and speccing parts and here's what I've got.

AZZA Solano 1000 Black/Black Japanese Steel/Metal mesh in front ATX Full Tower Computer Case

OCZ GameXStream 850Watts Power Supply

ASUS Mother Board M4A77TD AM3 AMD770 SB710 FSB5200MTs DDR3 PCIE Audio

AMD HDZ965FBGMBOX Phenom II X4 3.40 GHz 4000 MHz AM3 4 x 512KB Desktop Processor

Corsair TR3X6G1600C8D Dominator 6 GB 3 x 2 GB PC3-12800 1600MHz 240-Pin DDR3 Core i7 Memory Kit

GeForce 9800 GT 1GB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

HP 2509m Black 25" 3ms(GTG) HDMI Widescreen Full HD 1080p LCD Monitor
There he goes , one of God's own prototypes.
A high powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production.
Too weird to live and too rare to die.

OK, not mad, as in angry, but mad as in nuts!!

The tower and power supply showed up-today.
WOW! This this is big! I bet I could build 2 computers in here!
I love the gun metal black interior of the chassis and the drive bays, etc. It's really sharp, and has 5 fans in it for cooling. These are not small fans, either!

This picture, really doesn't do it justice:

I got the power supply today too.
WOW! Not like what I'm used to seeing in standard production models. It's intimidating looking. Speaking of intimidating, the wiring harness is also huge. All those connections, plus the fan connections make me wonder if I'm gonna be able to do this part.
The upside is that they're all marked.

I like how the separate wire bundles are wrapped in sharp looking clothe-like insulation.

Tomorrow, the mother board will be here, and that is the one thing I've never installed before, so I'm going to have to be SUPER careful.

I'm assuming that I should mount the processor before I install the Mother Board to the tower, until I do a search and find out otherwise...

If it was me, I'd install the processor AFTER installing the MB only because there is less chance of static discharge killing it. In all the pc's I built or rebuilt the processor was always left until last just for that reason.

That seems to be the general consensus, Greg.
All my tech friends have said the same thing, not to mention, it's a more solid base for the mother board while putting the processor in.
