In case you are like me and wondered what it meant "Trucking for Jesus"... I experienced something like this on Tuesday morning...

Received a call from the daughter of a trucking friend of mine about 6 am on Tuesday ... Her dad was headed back to OKC from Dallas area with a load of shingles on his flat bed trailer... when he felt a sharp pain in his chest area and decided he might be having a heart attack. He managed to drive to the Ardmore Hospital ER and checked himself in for evaluation...

I was asked to help drive his semi truck back and deliver his load of shingles in the OKC area... They offered to pay me....but I decided to volunteer my time to help my friend. He is having bypass heart surgery today...

Maybe our resident Chaplain Olen has some other examples of what "Trucking for Jesus" means in his experience... Another example I think would be the help that was offered by fellow truckers in helping stranded Arrow Trucking drivers get home for Christmas 2009 plus others who helped them find a new trucking job...

PS: It was kind of fun being a "flat bed hauler for a day"...even for just a short trip ..."floating the gears" on a 13 speed on a KW 2000 too...

    In response to Dutchman1

I have seen many incidents of drivers doing for others. I'm friends with a Trucking Company owner heir in Oklahoma City. His heart is after God and when ARROW WENT OUT OF BUSINESS HE TOLD HIS DRIVERS TO PICK THEM UP AND DROP THEM OF AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE TO HOME. HE HAS ALSO HIRED SOME OF THEM ALSO.

Most people don't see the compassion of the truck drive I have been privilege to see and experance my self what a wonderful group of people they are.
