...to make all these inane threads about Obama, but never post the Republican screw ups....

In the never ending witch hunt against Obama, sometimes the Republicans just can't resist putting their foot in their mouth:

Giuliani: No domestic terror attacks under Bush

WASHINGTON – Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani set off a tempest about terrorism Friday with his claim that this nation "had no domestic attacks" under President George W. Bush.

Giuliani somehow neglected to mention the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks as he was contrasting President Barack Obama's handling of terrorism with that of Bush in light of the failed Christmas Day attempt to blow up a Detroit-bound flight.

The Republican said of Obama on ABC's "Good Morning America" that "what he should be doing is following the right things that Bush did."

(Like, attacking a country that had nothing to do with it and costing 1000's of American lives and Trillions of Dollars??)

Ooops

Why would we be bashing the republicans when they haven't got any say so in government right now anyway. Why worry about them? Anything they try is overridden by the Dems and blocked. They really aren't a concern right now.
When/if they gain control and start screwing things up as bad as the Dems have then they will be on the bashing end of it as well.
I am more worried about what the Dems are doing (or not doing) right now than I am the Republicans...they have control right now and are making a total mess of this country.
The Republicans are the least of my worries.
What we need is a balance in government and a lot less morons in control.

Oh come on Hipkat, bringing up 9/11 now!!! What a load of liberal crap. You need to grow a brain and get over this blinding love you have for Obama and the Democrats. As Judy said, the DEMOCRATS are in power, NOT the Republicans and to still be blaming everything bad that happens on Bush is not only incredibly stupid, but insane. You are the epitome of the blind, leftist liberal who is content on following their 'savior' no matter what he does that is leading us down the path to socialism and revoking all our rights as guaranteed by out Constitution. You DO know what that is don't you? That little piece of paper signed all those years ago.

Oh and while we're talking screw ups, what about Bill Clinton. He had intel and a chance to take Bin Laden into U.S. custody after the first twin towers attack but all he did was lob a couple of cruise missles into Afghanistan and said there, now they know we mean business and won't attack us again. The 9/11 attack was the direct result of Clintons failure to take terrorists seriously and instead treated it like a crime. I don't suppose you've noticed the activity against us has increased since Obama has been in office, have you. Also, he gave Iran an ultimatum to come clean and cooperate with the west by the first of January. Guess what, it's come and past and Iran is still thumbing it's nose at Obama because they know he is gutless and will not go after them. In fact, he's threatening to stop all aid to Israel unless they make the peace process work. How come he isn't giving the Palestinians ultimatums, and threatening them with consequences? Instead he ignores the fact that they continuously fire rockets into Israel and when Israel finally does something, he does nothing. He's about as yellow a dog as there is when it comes to standing up to terrorists. He'd rather bankrupt this country and it's people and take away OUR rights.

Yeah, the Clinton this was a total mistake, but I did NOT bring up 9/11, just like I didn't call out bush in the Immigration thread.

If anything, it was Guiliani that brought up 9/11....

Read your post again, Guilliani did not bring the subject in what you posted. It was mentioned by another person. And, again, it wasn't Bush's policies that failed, but rather Clintons that caused it. And if you deny this statement then you are going against your OWN idea that everything that is happening is due to a Bush policy and not an Obama screw up. You want to hold Bush responsible for something that happened in his first year, and also blame Bush for everything going wrong in Obama's first year. You can not have it both ways.

I also don't think you will find anyone on here that agreed with Bush's invading Iraq, I know I did not agree with it. But, as ill timed as it was, it did save untold Iraqi lives, unfortunately, at the cost of some of our own. However, we lost far more in Vietnam and still lost the country to the Communists and guess who was in power? A Democrat names Johnson who totally screwed everything up along with a Congress who felt they knew better than the military.

I'm beginning to think you are as much against this country as are the terrorists, since you seem to feel there is no threat from them. I pity you.

Sounds like it was Giuliani that made the gaff, not someone else....

1st of all..you can't claim that 9/11 was under Bush. Yes...it happened while he was in office (barely) but the intel on it was in Clinton's hands before Bush was elected and Clinton did nothing about it. The media seems to conveniently leave out that tidbit of information. So yes..it did happen after Bush was elected but how many terror attacks did we have after 9/11 and during the remainder of Bush's term?
There was a lot that Bush did that I didn't agree with...Iraq being one of them...but keep this nation safe he did do and I will give him credit for that. Obama on the other hand has opened this nation up to any and all terror attacks..basically inviting them in since he has been in office. He has proven how weak he is and proven that he will tuck tail (or bow at their feet) rather than fight back. He is a total incompetent all the way around and needs to be impeached before he can do any further damage. Hopefully with the 2010 elections we will see that happening post haste.

Thanks, Judy, I'd forgotten about his bowing. Insane for the leader of the worlds most powerful country to bow to anyone. I don't remember, did he bow before the Queen of England? If he didn't that would speak volumns about his allegiances.

And, she also grabbed the Queens arm, which is a BIG NO NO in British society and protocol. Once again just shows they are out of their league in world politics and protocols.

The intel was also in Bush's hands, just prior to the attack, or I guess Richard Clarke, Bush's Sr. Intelligence Official on The Middle East is a liar, right?

And give it a rest with the bowing, 57 states, his birth certificate, etc...

Obama bashers are like little brothers. They do and say anything they can just to get under your skin, whether it'd be relevant or not, just to get a rise out of you, with the threat of yelling "I'm telling Mom" if anyone dares to retaliate...

"I know you are, but what am I... I know you are, but what am I... I know you are but what am I... I know you are, but what am I...."

You are completely skirting the issue, as usual, the subject of this post; Republican, Rudolph Giuliani claimed that there had been NO attacks under President Bush.

And another thing, outside of massive spending, which, btw, you NEED to actually SPEND money, to repair the financial disaster this country has fallen into, stop with the "Obama is damaging this country."

That is just an asinine statement that holds NO merit; A typical, Conservative, rhetorical "battle cry"...

Between the Conservative catch phrases, the incredible ignorance to just how naive you two seem to be when it comes to Fox News' bias, and now, the fact that you cannot even begin to admit what a failure Bush was, a President who truly DID damage this country, it's like clapping with one hand even trying to have a political discussion.

I'm sure, I know, actually, that outside of politics, you both are wonderful people, but politically, I have never come across two bigger sticks in the mud.

Hip..I feel really sorry for you. You really are never going to open your eyes and see the socialist take over of this country being perpetrated by your beloved Obama are you? You are like a captain going down with his ship (which..mind you..is more than the president you are so loyal to would do)

Yes Bush was a putz..so was Clinton..so was Bush Sr..so were several other presidents in the past...I totally agree with you there. I refuse to live in the past though. I am worried about what is going on RIGHT NOW and what is taking us into the future. I don't like what I see happening in this country and I don't like what I am seeing this president do (or not do) even more so than any other president in the past.
I am sorry but Obama is one area that you and I will just have to agree to disagree because personally I think the man is an incompetent jackass that had no business even running for president and definitely isn't going to do this country an ounce of good.

BTW...I don't agree with your philosophy that you have to *Spend* to repair financial damage. You cannot spend your way out of debt. When you try that the debt only gets worse and you will eventually go belly up. Someone needs to clue the Obama administration in on this. Let them know that money doesn't grow on trees and you can't print it up when you need it with nothing to back it up.

My ONLY complaint about Obama, other than a few screwed up portions of his policies, like Cash fro Clunkers not excluding foreign made cars, is that he refuses to put his fist down and put a stop to all this nonsense.

Socialism stared generations ago in this country. it's just become the catch phrase everyone's clinging too.

You can tell me I'm on the Bush thing all you want, but the Wars he started, and mismanaged are still running up a billion dollars a week.

When I was a kid, and I know some of you are older and some may be younger than me, so it may be different for you, but I was taught that, while you may not agree with him, you still, above all else support the President Of The United States.
That's how I was raised.
Instead, over the last 14 months, what we've had is a radical media blitz and campaign that serves no other purpose than to disparage and impede the entire executive process, and frankly, it's shameful.
Both sides are guilty, one for their unyielding campaign and one for their thick-headed stubbornness and unwillingness to work together.

In the midst of all this is a swayed populace that's being led down the wrong path, not knowing what to think or believe, and based on what? The flash word of the year; Rhetoric.

Again, you bring up the past to justify Oabams socialistic policies. You need to get out of that mode if you ever want to be relevant.

Again, you're thinking is flawed. You don't blindly respect a man that is President when his policies are so wrong for this county and he can't act in a timely fashion, except telling Congress to pass bills without even reading them. That is the mark of a man who is wanting to have absolute power over everyone.

And I don't blindly believe all the rhetoric out there, but rather I make my own decisions based on what I see happening, not what is being said. You, on the other hand, blindly believe everything the far left liberals tell you to believe.

That is completely untrue.
For one, I pay no attention, nor do I watch or read any far left or right leaning media,
I go buy what I see and hear from national news outlets and by what's going on around me.

I have felt disparaged by some of what's come out of Washington this year, but I'm not joining the witch hunt and I'M certainly not going to accuse this President of "destroying this country" when most of what you people complain about began long ago.
