Truckers Road Rules of Usage Policy.
The following are some basic rules to be followed when posting on Truckers Road. While this document may not be all inclusive and will be subject to change, it will outline what is and isn't appropriate conduct while posting on Truckers Road and how Admin will deal with violations of this policy.
There will be NO personal attacks allowed on ANY member of Truckers Road,
including ADMIN and/or MODERATORS. A personal attack is any posting
that is directed at any individual or group that is derogatory in nature. The ADMINISTRATION of TRUCKERS ROAD will be the final and definitive determinate of what is derogatory and inflammatory in nature. Jokes of a racial nature or those that could be perceived as a racial slur will not be tolerated and will be deleted upon being found. The poster will receive a warning that posting of such racial slurs/jokes or otherwise demeaning content will result in disciplinary action being taken.
Language will be expected to be kept reasonably clean of inappropriate words or phrases. This rule shall apply to ALL forums, including those designated as ADULTS ONLY. TRUCKERS ROAD Administration and Moderators will be the defining word on what is considered appropriate and acceptable language for this bulletin board.
No advertising of products or services for hire will be allowed on TRUCKERS ROAD unless the advertiser HAS PURCHASED A BANNER AD. Any advertisement posted in a forum will be deleted immediately.
If you have a personal web page, you may include that link in a signature, but may NOT actively promote said page in a message in any forum without written consent of Administration. Any link that is designed to pull members away from TRUCKERS ROAD and send them to another bulletin board of similar interests will be removed without any recourse from the poster.
When posting a link to another web site, make sure this site conforms to the rules of TRUCKERS ROAD. There should NO profanity or nudity contained in the link or the web site it points to. If found to contain either, it will be removed without notice and a warning sent to the poster.
If, at anytime, a member has objections to a post, they are to feel free to contact the Moderators of that forum. At that time, the Moderators will determine the course of action to be taken. If your problem isn't solved in a timely manner, or you disagree with the Moderators decision, the situation will be brought to the attention of the Administration.
In the unlikely case of extreme violations of the posting rules, the offending member may be immediately dealt with. No member shall register with more than one name. This shall also include Moderators.
If ANY member is found to be in violation of this rule, he/she will be subject to suspension or removal from this board.
All members shall maintain an email address. Failure to maintain a LEGITIMATE email address will be cause for the account to be locked until such time as the account is in compliance with the rules.
ADMINISTRATION reserves the right to email any member at any time reference issues that may affect the operation of TRUCKERS ROAD or the account of said member and may do so via either an email to a single member or a mass emailing to all members if it is determined the issue being dealt with has the potential to affect all members of TRUCKERS ROAD.
Periodically ADMINISTRATION may email a user(s) their login name and password as a test to determine whether or not the member is in compliance with the above email rule. If the email returns undeliverable, a message will be placed in a public forum advising the member to contact TRUCKERS ROAD with a new email address. After 1 week, if the user has not responded, the account will be locked.
Penalties for Violating the Above Rules.
Outlined below are the various penalties and the steps to be taking in applying them.
1st. Offense: The poster will receive a "CAUTION" about his/her offending posts.
2nd. Offense: The poster will receive a "WARNING" from TRUCKERS ROAD.
3rd. Offense: The poster will be notified that his/her privileges have been removed per the schedule below.
First Suspension will be for 30 days.
Second Suspension will be permanent.
Prior to the expulsion and banning of any member, it will be put before ALL ADMIN and MODERATORS for input prior to the decision to ban being enforced. However, if in the case of an extreme violation of the rules, ADMIN reserves the right to take immediate action against said violator.
If, at anytime, a member has an objectionable post and can not be reached through no fault of TRUCKERS ROAD, it will up to ADMINISTRATION to determine said members future privileges.
This is a board for open discussion. No pyramid schemes, chain letters, or solicitation of any kind will be allowed to remain on this board. Post of these types will be subject to IMMEDIATE REMOVAL.
You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use TRUCKERS ROAD to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of any law.
You agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyrighted material is owned by you. Although we do not review the messages prior to being posted and are not responsible for the content of any of these messages, we reserve the right to delete any message for any reason whatsoever. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold TRUCKERS ROAD harmless with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s). TRUCKERS ROAD reserves the right to reveal your identity (or whatever information we know about you) in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by you, upon receipt of appropriate legal documents requesting such information.
Since this is a privately owned bulletin board forum, you are allowed to participate entirely upon the good will of the board owner and membership may be revoked at anytime for any reason without prior notice. All messages posted on TRUCKERS ROAD become the property of TRUCKERS ROAD after the time limit for editing has passed.
NAME CHANGES: At this time, you will be held to the name you choose upon registering at TRUCKERS ROAD. This is a feature that has been abused and causes too much confusion in the forums to allow it to continue. In summation, make sure the DISPLAY NAME you choose when you register is one that you will be happy with as you will be stuck with it.
Further: You or the owner of the Content retain ownership of all right, title and interest in Content that you post to public areas of TRUCKERS ROAD<. However, by submitting or posting Content to public areas of TRUCKERS ROAD you grant TRUCKERS ROAD, its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, assigns, agents and licensees the irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide right to reproduce, display, perform, distribute, adapt and promote this Content in any medium. Once you submit or post Content to any public area on TRUCKERS ROAD, TRUCKERS ROAD does not need to give you any further right to inspect or approve uses of such Content or to compensate you for any such uses.
Finally, membership in TRUCKERS ROAD is voluntary and free and may be terminated at any time by TRUCKERS ROAD.T
